The house on the
Fourth Bluff.

"The river don't lie, and blood don't bargain."

Down here on the Fourth Bluff, where the Mississippi cuts deep through the bottoms and the red clay stains your boots before the morning fog lifts, folks think roots are just something dried up in an amber jar. They don't know the pulse running under this town — what was laid down at the rail crossings at midnight, or how old dirt carries every grief, every prayer, and every sour trick an envious neighbor whispered into an open ditch.

Old magic ain't a parlor trick, and it damn sure ain't a weekend hobby. It's iron, sulfur, river gravel, and knowing which way to turn the spade so a grave-born sickness runs backward to the one who dug the hole. We heal what's torn, set broken spirits back on their feet, and pull folks out of ditches they thought they'd die in.

But hear this good: mercy without teeth is just an open latch for thieves. If a creeping thing comes sniffing around the threshold, we don't ask questions and we don't flinch. Your house and mine are tied at the root. Your babies are our babies; your fence is our fence. What walks against you walks into us first.

The House Statement

Deep-soil root medicine — not an aesthetic boutique.

Sacred Earthworks is an old-time conjure house, healing sanctuary, and heavy spiritual defense outfit anchored in the river bottoms and clay bluffs of Memphis. We practice the old craft of bone, living water, forged iron, and unyielding ancestral law.

We operate on the primal balance of the ground — the Yang and the Yin, the heavy hammer that breaks the iron chain, and the deep, silent spring that washes the open wound clean.

Core Disciplines & Works

What the house works

The Sledge

Heavy Uncrossing & Cursebreaking

Extraction of buried works — track-pins, sour jars, lead sheets, and powders laid to cross your path. Ancestral severing of hereditary debts, and return-to-sender work under the law of the anvil: strike the iron, and the spark flies back.

The Four Corners

Territorial Defense & Perimeter

Property pinning with railroad-iron spikes, sulfur, red ochre, and scorched gravel driven into the four corners of the land. Thresholds and sills sealed so betrayal, wandering sickness, and envious eyes stop dead at the gravel path.

The Deep Well

Diagnostic Sight & Bone Sifting

Clear-water and bone divination to name the exact root cause of stagnation, conflict, or rot — no false comfort. Precise herbal steepings, condition oils, and floor washes formulated to your reading.

The Living Balm

Restoration, Sweetening & Path Opening

A house cannot stay empty after a cross is cast out; it must be fed. White rose, angelica, rainwater, and wild honey restore sweetness and peace, and clear the cobwebs blocking honest trade and legal victory.

Founders

The Sledge & The Wellspring

Two veteran practitioners bound together like iron driven into green cypress — the force that shatters the shackle, and the water that restores the marrow.

The Father · The Yang

Lao — The Breaker & The Anvil

Carrying decades of walking the river bottoms and switchyards, the house's master rootworker is the immovable wall between his family and the dark. When a life is bound by a generational cross, an old cemetery work, or deliberate sabotage, he goes to the foundation with the wedge, the sulfur, and the cold iron. He does not negotiate with spiritual thieves — he cuts the root, snaps the knot, and drives the boundary pins deep. To those he guards, an unyielding shield; to those who bring malice to his fence line, an iron sledge that turns their venom back down their own throat.

The Mother · The Yin

Sherrie — The Deep Sight & Living Sanctum

Sherrie is the clear, deep water of the house. With sharp, unvarnished ancestral discernment, she sits at the reading table not to soothe ego but to lay bare the truth hidden behind the ribs — her sight pierces pleasant smiles and quiet deceits before a stranger's foot crosses the threshold gravel. Where the timber has been cleared and the curse broken, she steps forward with pure restoration: keeper of the home-altar, brewer of the sweetening washes, the hand that pours balm over a family left raw. Her works call back scattered luck and seal the rooms where the babies sleep.

At the altar

Together they form a sovereign sanctuary — bound by a blood-oath that cannot be bent.

The iron is in the dirt. The salt is on the sill. The house is guarded.

The Rule of the Porch

Our operational creed

01

Family First, Family Always

Lay your silver on the pine and your burden becomes our duty. We defend the households under our mantle with the same fury we keep over our own children.

02

No Double Dealing

We do not break a crossing on a man in the morning and take coin from his enemy at nightfall. Old medicine carries a backbone.

03

The Ground Keeps the Ledger

We do not work for vanity or petty spite. We work to break chains, heal the righteous, and bury the wicked things that hunt honest people.
